  2003 International ChildArt Festival

Hey, kids! you can represent your state or your country at the International ChildArt Festival from September 6 to 13, 2003 in Washington, DC. You make a masterpiece on the theme, Me in the New Millennium and send it to me as soon as you can. – ICAFFY

When you are making your painting, ask yourself these questions:
How do I see myself?
How do I want the world to see me?
What can I do to change the world?
How should I be in this new millennium?

You can win a trip to Washington DC and meet me in person and get my autograph! – ICAFFY

If your artwork is selected as your State Finalist (for U.S. schools) or Country Finalist (for countries other than the US), you will receive an invitation from ICAF to come to Washington DC. You will also win The ICAF Scholarship Award, an in-kind (non-cash) financial support to enable you to participate free of any fees in the International ChildArt Festival in Washington, DC (September 6-13, 2003).

You bet you’ll have the best time of your life! Just ask the kids who came last time. – ICAFFY

You’ll make friends around the world. Make new friends. Learn new things. You will learn how to be more creative and imaginative. See different cultures. You will create a world mural on the National Mall. First Ladies and dignitaries will present you the Creativity & Imagination Award!

You will see the great monuments and enjoy the Smithsonian museums. You will visit the U.S. Capitol and The White House.

Oh yeh! You’ll also get to meet the President! Just kidding. – ICAFFY

What to do?
Select any of the following two options:

A) Tell your teacher about ICAF and about our Arts Olympiad. Your teacher will organize an art competition on the theme, Me in the New Millennium. Your schoolteachers will then select one representative artwork as your School’s Entry and mail it to ICAF for consideration as your state (or country) finalist.

Wait until you get an invitation from me. Just don't show up at my door.– ICAFFY

B) You can participate in the program on your own. Make your art on the theme, Me in the New Millennium. Download the Artwork Entry Form, complete it and have your parent sign it, and tape it to the back of your artwork. Then carefully package it (flat if possible) and mail it to:

ICAFFY
International Child Art Foundation
1350 Connecticut Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20036
USA

When I receive your artwork, it will be included in the entries from your state (or country). A distinguished panel of judges will select the finalists.

Come on, I’m not a judge, I’m just a kid. – ICAFFY

I will notify you in the case you are a finalist.
