Professor Shen gave a presentation on the Chinese Arts Olympiad to executives of ICAF's Munich office during a joint-collaboration meeting held on October 10, 2005 at the ICAF eV art gallery in Munich. Nina Liu, Vice-supervisor, SHCDF's International Exchange Department, and two other staff accompanied Professor Shen to Germany. The meeting deepened mutual understanding and explored cooperation programs between the children of Bavaria and Shanghai. "ICAF eV looks forward to being the doorway for Shanghai and China to Munich, Bavaria and the European Union," said Elena Janker, Director of ICAF eV. SHCDF is organizing the Arts Olympiad and a national competition on ICAF's theme, "My Favorite Sport". The Shanghai Children International Culture Development Company, China Welfare Institute Children's Palace and Shanghai ToonMax TV work as co-organizers. "We are very pleased with Professor Shen and his staff's efforts to reach out to children across China, many of whom do not have the opportunity to paint or draw unless presented with the Arts Olympiad experience," said Dr. Ashfaq Ishaq, Executive Director of ICAF.
