To find out more about the places you can stay and to make reservations, please visit the Washington D.C. Accommodations website. How do we get to the Festival? Subway. The subway, or Metro as it's called in DC, is an easy way to get to the Festival. Take the Orange or Blue line to the Smithsonian stop. Exit the station via the Mall exit, and you will be on the National Mall. See a detail map of the National Mall metro stops here, and the complete Metro map here. Bus. Many MetroBus lines stop near the Mall. See a detailed map of the Mall stops here. You can also download a complete PDF version of the MetroBus map, courtesy of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Car. Parking around the National Mall is difficult, as there is not a lot of on-street parking. Your best bet is to take the Metro to the Mall - it is only a short walk from the Smithsonian metro stop to all the fun and activities of the 2003 International ChildArt Festival! However if you do decide to drive, click here for directions, and tips on where to find parking.
