Children's Art Exhibitions

ICAF exhibitions have been held at prominent venues around the world, most recently at the 2003 Annual World Bank/IMF Meetings in Dubai, UAE and earlier at The White House Millennium Celebration and the United Nations Headquarters.

ICAF exhibitions are the result of its Arts Olympiads, the world's most prestigious and popular global art competition for children. The exhibitions are comprised of paintings selected as finalists by participating countries and U.S. states, and were chosen from over one million artworks created under the Arts Olympiad. Currently, two exhibitions are available, corresponding to ICAF's first and second Arts Olympiads.

Exhibition #1: Children's Visions of the Future

This exhibition depicts children's visions for the future at this critical time when war and conflicts, pollution and AIDS, poverty and abuse, and other complex problems confront humanity. The exhibition challenges our imagination, and offers us an opportunity to examine how we can make a difference.

  1. 86 original framed finalist artworks from 86 countries. Sizes vary with average size approximately 18 inches by 24 inches (45cm x 60cm)
  2. 45 original framed finalist artworks by children across the United States Sizes vary with average size approximately 18 inches by 24 inches (45cm x 60cm)
  3. 80 limited edition lithographs of finalist artworks from 80 countries Printed on high-quality archival paper, the lithographs measure 22 inches x 28 inches (56 cm x 72 cm) each. You can purchase the entire set or choose selected artworks.

Exhibition #2: Who Are the Children

One-half of the world population today is comprised of children and young people. Yet we know little about them: we do not know what they think or dream or what they fear or feel.

Children are our future, and yet their voices are absent from any discussion that will affect them.

The Who Are the Children exhibition introduces you to the children, to their dreams and aspirations. It connects you with the future.

The exhibition is comprised of 103 original framed finalists artwork from 71 countries, 30 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. For more information, including pricing, email childart@icaf.org with your request.

Mural #3 The 2003 Peace Through Art Pyramid

Measuring 14 feet square at its base and standing 8 feet tall, The 2003 Peace Through Art Pyramid is the product of the hard-work of child artists participating in ICAF's second Arts Olympiad. With the help of famed artist George Rodrigue, creator of the "Blue Dog," the 2003 Peace Through Art Pyramid brings the cooperative spirit of ICAF's mural-making program off the canvas and into the third dimension.
