Objective: To
bring life to creative expression of children on a common
platform of art, that express their vision irrespective
of them being physically or mentally challenged or normal
children with the only one consideration that the Exposition
will treat every one alike as children capable
of creative Expression?
Goal
: Coming together of different special and
normal children for better understanding through
the visual art media and
explore arts and crafts for introspection and expression
of their creativity and imagination , and to provide
their teachers and parents a common platform to inspire
children to visualize and other aspects of Indias
vast cultural and natural heritage. They are able to
express their creativity in an informal setting and
an enabling environment as well as to experiment with
materials and ideas in workshops and discussion groups.
The concept of this Art Exposition emerged from Chandanas mission
to strengthen the cultural roots of the emerging generation, and sensitise
youth towards their own role in creating culture. The broad aims of the Art
Exposition were to augment the Indian school curriculum by creating a between
understanding of nature, cultural and artistic practices ; and to enhance the
personal artitic and creative development of children.
Hundreds
of children which includes diverse groups of children both
physically and mentally challenged children from a range
of schools and institutions in Bangalore have an unique opportunity
to participate in this Art Exposition.
As far as interactive skills, creative talents, are concerned, there are no
children who could be categorised as good or bad, ability or disability in
creativity. The imagination, the ability to create and wonder of degree of
stylization, sophistication; lies hidden in every child so that it takes a
good teacher, time to scratch the surface and bring to light the talents that
lie just below conscious level of the child.
The
program connects the art teachers in CAFIs programs. The
art created by their students will shed light on issues of
identity and projection, providing important indicators for
parents and your child and his or her teachers. The program
offers a great opportunity for constructive exchange between
parents and their child and his or her teachers. The art
of some students may reveal the uncertainty and troubles
they face, placing teachers and their parents in a better
position to address such issues.
