Covid-19 has taught us that humanity can no longer survive without creativity and empathy.

These attributes that make us human must be cultivated early at home and school. Creativity and empathy are both rooted in the arts and a symbiotic relationship between the two can grow a virtuous cycle of sustainability, prosperity, public health, and peace.

Children begin to draw before they can speak because art is their native language. Parents can foster their child’s creativity through the Arts Olympiad, the world’s largest school art program also meant for schoolteachers. Families can experience the art of empathy at the 2021 World Children’s Festival at The National Mall, across from the U.S. Capitol.

The Arts Olympiad is free-of-charge and the World Children’s Festival is free and open to the public. Children can create new hope for the future, but they need your empathy and support.
